COURSE DESCRIPTION

The Algebra One course is ideal for all students who are about to take a whole year Algebra One course for the first time, or for those students entering the second year of a two-year algebra one program. Some students have also benefited from using this class as a review of the vital Algebra One skills before proceeding to Algebra Two or Geometry.  This course will provide your student with the advantage of learning the skills needed to succeed in Algebra One, which is the foundation for all high school math classes.

The course will include a brief review of beginning algebra concepts.  Students will then learn how to graph linear equations, solve and graph quadratic and special equations, solve systems of equations, and to solve and graph inequalities and systems of inequalities.  Students will also be taught how to perform operations with polynomials, factoring polynomials, and simplifying radicals.
